Here are some assorted pictures from March. The first couple were taken when Ryan's dad came to visit. We took Jasper
over to Playspace, a large room filled with a myriad of things for kids to explore. Jasper loves the water area (where kids
wear these funky smocks so their clothes don't get wet.) It was a good activity on a rainy day.
The weather has slowly been warming up in North Carolina, which means more trips the the park! Jasper's favorite continues
to be the swings. His runner-up is the slide. He loves to bang his feet at the top and then yell "1, 2, 3, go!" as he goes
down. He also loves to go with other people. Ryan won't do it with him because she is so pregnant, but as you can
see, Paul goes down with gusto!
This month Jasper was diagnosed with an eye condition called Amblyopia. We weren't too surprised that he has it since
Ryan, her mom, and her grandma all have it also. Hopefully since we have caught it this early, we'll be able to avoid the
prescription glasses and/or surgery that are sometimes required to correct the problem. Right now we just have to put a patch
over his good eye for two hours a day in order to get the left eye working properly. Jasper is a champ about wearing the patch.
Kudos to Jasper!
This easter we had two easter egg hunts. We had one at home on Saturday morning followed by another at the church several
hours later. Jasper seemed to grasp the concept. He knew you were supposed to put eggs in the bucket and that was good stuff
inside. By the time we got the church there were so many kids that he decided he was done after about five eggs. We didn't
mind. If he was happy, we were happy.
Here is also a picture of Ryan at 37.5 weeks pregnant. I swear it's a miracle that a woman's body ever looks normal again
after being pregnant!
March was good. Paul finished the first draft of his Masters project, Jasper has learned numerous new words, and Ryan
is closer to bearing Izzie. Bring on April!
