Sorry I've been so bad about updating this blog.

Today was a good day. Temperatures are sunny and 75 lately. Jasper and I went to Duke Gardens for two hours in the morning. His favorite activity there was handing rocks to people walking by.

We ate lunch, watched the Muppets, and both napped in the afternoon.

Tonight I've been looking up music on Itunes. Paul gave me a gift certificate. If anyone who knows my musical tastes has any suggestions on what to buy, I would love it.

Happy Easter to all! I finally updated the website with new pictures in the recent pictures section. I also edited the "Monkey 3" section for those who are interested. I hope you all had a fun Easter full of whatever makes you the happiest.

It was a decent Sunday over here at the Stahle house. The weather has finally turned nice. Church was easy because Jasper fell asleep on our laps. Duke beat Mississippi. Life is good.

Life has been up and down for the past few days. Paul's grandma passed away on Saturday. It wasn't totally unexpected, but still sad. She was an awesome woman, and we are all going to miss her.

He'll be going out for the funeral this week and my dad is coming to visit and help out while he's gone. It will be fun to hang out with my dad.

You may not hear from me for a couple of days, but it's not because I don't love you. Things are just a little busy.

Life moves.

I've seen my brother Kit use this phrase. I'm not sure I know what exactly he means by it, but as I sat down to write about life lately, those are the words that came to mind.

Life is a little out of control lately; I don't think there is much I can do to get it back into control. My attitude is the only reasonably fluid variant. Life moves. All I can do is cope and be happy the best way I know how.

Well it's been a few days so I thought I should write something. Friday was great, Saturday was hard, Sunday has been ok. When you try and write a daily blog you always wish you had something rosy to say, but the truth is that you don't always. Sometimes life is just up and down for awhile. In general, life is great---I really have no complaints and I feel hugely blessed. Sometimes the day-to-day is just harder than the overall picture.

Interesting day, today. Callie called me and told me that she and Jon found out they are having twins, Jasper accidentally called 911, and Paul and I went to the Duke/Miami game. All exciting events in one way or another. I'd give you more details, but I'm too tired from all the excitement and am opting to go to bed. Goodnight!

Today is Dr. Seuss's birthday. Most of you who know me know that I love Dr. Seuss. I appreciate his art and his words. Here is a quote from him that I especially enjoy:

"I like nonsense, it wakes up the brain cells. Fantasy is a necessary ingredient in living, it's a way of looking at life through the wrong end of a telescope---which is what I do---and that enables you to laugh at life's realties"

Kudos to you, Theodore Geisel.
